The state of Washington requires that AFHS only has 6 members. These homes are designed as a home and they have care around the clock (24 hr care). Adult family homes are the best options for family members who need total care and who want to live at home with minimum (6) house mates. They get medication management services, meal preparation & feeding if home with minimum (6) house mates. Assisted living facilities
They have more residents and are more designed for seniors who do not need total care but who choose to no longer stay at their homes as they need some assistance. Seniors get minimal assistance from staff, and are able to enjoy living independently in their ‘apartments. They get services such as housekeeping and transportation
